Midwest Photo Safari #3 - St. Paul Capital Mall / Summit Hill

Join us at the Minnesota State Capital to photograph our fabulous Capital mall area. 17 monuments and statues, as well as some of the states finest architecture, await us, all within a 2 mile walk. This will be a 4+ Hour safari. You are sure to come away with compelling images of Minnesota's Capital City.

We start out near the new Minnesota History Center. After a short presentation on photography basics, our morning session takes us to the Capital Mall area to photograph the 17 monuments and memorials there, as well as the capital building and St Paul skyline. We then take a self guided tour in the capital building. After our capital tour, we will discuss the sessions shooting, and conduct a Q and A session.

On our afternoon session, we do the same short photography basics presentation at the History Center,  then walk over to the Summit Hill area and photograph the many stately mansions, including the James Hill house. We then visit the St. Paul Cathedral and photograph the exterior, and if available, tour the inside in smaller groups to practice lower light photography without flash, and learn to photograph stain glass windows.  Returning to the History Center, we will discuss the sessions shooting, and conduct a Q and A session.

This safari runs Tuesdays through Saturdays... 5 days a week with our morning tour from 8:30 AM till 1PM, and the afteroon safari 2:00 PM till 6 PM.

Pricing for this Safari is $69.00 (not including tax and gratuity) per person with discounts for multiple bookings. The tour includes a printed "Basic Digital Photography Tips and Techniques" booklet filled with handy hints and tips that will help you improve the way you visualize your photography.

This Safari is Seasonal, running April 1 through October 31.
