Midwest Photo Safari #3 - St. Paul Capital Mall / Summit Hill

Join us at the Minnesota State Capital to photograph our fabulous Capital mall area. 17 monuments and statues, as well as some of the states finest architecture await us, all within a 2 mile walk. This is a 2-3 Hour safari. You are sure to come away with compelling images of Minnesota's Capital City.

Our Morning and Sunday tour starts out near the Minnesota Law Enforcment Memorial. After a short presentation on photography basics, our morning session takes us to the Capital Mall area to photograph the 17 monuments and memorials there, as well as the capital building and St Paul skyline. We then take a self guided tour in the capital building.

On our afternoon session, we do the same short photography basics presentation at the Minnesota History Center,  then walk over to the Summit Hill area and photograph the many stately mansions, including the James Hill house. We then visit the St. Paul Cathedral and photograph the exterior, and if available, tour the inside in smaller groups to practice lower light photography without flash, and learn to photograph stain glass windows.

This safari runs Thursday through Sunday 4 days a week with our morning tour from 7:30 AM till 10:00 AM (Sundays 12-3), and the afternoon safari NOON till 2:30 PM. The afternoon tour only runs Thursdays and Fridays.

Pricing for this Safari is $95.00 (tax included, not including gratuity) per person with discounts for multiple bookings. The tour includes a printed "Basic Digital Photography Tips and Techniques" booklet filled with handy hints and tips that will help you improve the way you visualize your photography.

This Safari is Seasonal, running April 1 through October 31.
